Far in the distant future, found amongst the stars, are a variety of new galaxies to explore, new planets being colonized, new species being discovered each day.

You play as a technician - a specialized soldier trained to be the very best. The best at what exactly? Why, reconnaissance, head-to-head combat, sabotage, and most importantly... Mech combat, in your very own Mekra. 

Take on commissions provided by superiors, other NPCs, or perhaps, even ones of your own volition, and see the universe for  what it really is. An age of peace and love? Or perhaps war and strife? Only you will know as you journey, accompanied by your fellow technicians.

Collect equipment as you rank up, granting you incredible flexibility in your playstyle of choice, further emphasized by your species and your specialty of choice, and further emboldened with your choice of tacticalordnance, and array

And of course, most importantly, define who you are. Your background, what you know, who you serve, all a tale to be spun and told.

Mekra Descent does not inherently possess a specific setting - rather, it is left open-ended with the "world" essentially encompassing the entire universe, allowing the GM great amounts of freedom to fully design where they want the players to go. Do they want to go to another galaxy? Another solar system? Or perhaps, just sticking to one planet is enough?  

Tools for you have been provided, to both ensure you run the game your way, and to ensure you have everything on hand for when things go awry.

This system is one that is very focused on customization and flexibility, offering numerous options and combinations to the players, as well as to the GM, with plenty of narrative room for everyone to grow and have fun together. Best played together with a group of around 3-5 people (GM excluded), and works well for both one-shots and campaigns.

  • In-depth GM toolkit for running the game, and improvising when the going gets tough

Mekra Descent is an original TTRPG system designed to be fluid and dynamic in combat, taking heavy inspiration from systems such as the well-known Lancer (Masiff Press), as well as Starfinder (Paizo). Moreover, it also draws inspiration from fast-paced video games, such as the likes of ULTRAKILL (Hakita), Quake (id Software), and, the most unique one, Titanfall (Respawn Entertainment).
